Dr. Simon obtained her undergraduate degree at the University of Oklahoma, with a bachelor of science in zoology, and a minor in classical studies. She graduated Summa Cum Laude, was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa, and was named to the Letseizer Honor list for the top thirteen woman in her graduating class. While a senior at the University of Oklahoma, she was the Oklahoma state winner and national finalist for the Rhodes Scholarship competition.
Dr. Simon spent a semester at a graduate level Christian theological studies program in California before entering medical school
Dr. Simon obtained her medical doctorate from the University of Michigan Medical School in Ann Arbor, Michigan. As a graduating senior, she received the Arthur C. Curtis scholarship from the University of Michigan Dermatology department for an outstanding senior going into the field of dermatology
Dr. Simon did her internship at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and then did her dermatology residency in the world-renowned University of Michigan Dermatology Department.
She is board certified by the American Board of Dermatology and a fellow of the American Acadamy of Dermatology and the American Society of Dermatologic Surgeons.
Dr. Simon has presented at national meetings on subjects such sweat gland diseases, cutaneous lymphoma, and blood vessel sarcomas. She is currently completing a research project on nutritional factors related to acne prevalence and severity, with the University of Michigan departments of Dermatology and Public Health. She has given talks to University of Michigan faculty and staff on leprosy, military dermatology, lichenoid eruptions in children, and cutaneous manifestations of malignancy.
While at the University of Michigan, Dr. Simon received special training in melanoma and all types of skin cancers, including rare skin cancers such as merkel cell carcinoma and cutaneous T-cell lymphoma, skin rashes, autoimmune skin diseases, blistering skin diseases, eczema, acne, psoriasis, and benign skin neoplasms. She also performs cosmetic procedures such as botox, facial fillers, and laser treatment for dyspigmentation, redness, and telangiectasias.
Dr. Simon loves living in the Lake Norman area, and enjoys spending time outdoors (wearing sunscreen of course) with her husband, an aerospace engineer, and their two sons. She also enjoys traveling, studying the history of medicine, and playing piano.
Kristin obtained her undergraduate degree at Providence College with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. She also graduated with academic honors from Tulane University with a Master of Social Work. Kristin then attended a dual degree program at Nova Southeastern University where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Physician Assistant Studies and a Master of Public Health. She graduated in the top 10 percent of her class with academic honors.
Kristin has worked in the specialty of dermatology since 2003. She regularly attends dermatology conferences and reads dermatology journals to stay current with new advances in her field. She has extensive experience in general, surgical and cosmetic dermatology. She is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and is a member of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants. She is licensed by the state of North Carolina to practice medicine.
Kristin is a Rhode Island native. She has lived in the Lake Norman area since 2006. She enjoys spending time with her family, her children and her cats. Her hobbies include riding her Peloton bike, attending her childrens’ sports tournaments and listening to true crime podcasts.
Aesthetic Nurse, Susan Stevens is a native of Grand Rapids, Michigan. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from Baylor University, Waco, Texas in 1987. Susan accepted a position at Baylor Medical Center in the Operating Room, where she gained surgical expertise in Orthopedics and Hepatology ( Liver Transplants), as well as Plastic/Reconstructive Surgery. She returned to Michigan in the 1990’s to work as a private scrub/office nurse for a plastic surgeon. Susan and her husband, Byard have 3 children, Ellesse, Claire and Cole who have quickly became young adults. The Stevens family has called North Carolina their home since 2004 and Susan joined the MDC family in 2011.
Susan is both passionate about and energized by her work; to maintain and enhance her knowledge and skills, she regularly attends industry meetings to stay apprised of developments in her field. Susan is certified in Laser Safety/Biophysics of Laser Application and as a Revision Skincare Brand Specialists; she also has certification in the operation and treatment integration of the following devices: Sciton Joule, miraDry, Candella CO2RE and Dermalinfusion.
Susan’s personal philosophy and approach to working with patients comes from a favorite quote by Ann Frank:
“Everyone has inside of her a piece of good news. The good news is that you don’t know how great you can be! How much you can love! What you can accomplish! And what your potential is!”
Susan believes she can best serve her patients by listening to their questions or concerns and providing honest, medically sound information and treatment plans to maximize each individual’s skin health and beauty.
Outside the office, Susan is fond of the ‘quiet life’. She enjoys the mountains or a quiet beach to unwind and spend time with her family. She is an admitted Food Network Junkie who loves featured restaurants which she can critique herself.
Michelle is a Registered Nurse who joined the Cosmetics team at Mooresville Dermatology shortly after moving to the area from Texas. Family is a very important part of her life. After spending 17 years in Texas, she and her spouse returned to be closer to their families. She graduated with highest honors from West Coast University in Dallas Texas. In addition to working in Plastic Surgery for over 20 years she has also worked in Neuro ICU and the Emergency Room for a Trauma Center in Dallas. Michelle is an Advanced Nurse Injector and has been injecting fillers and neuromodulators since 2002.
Married for 24 years, Michelle and her spouse have a family of Furr Children and both are animal lovers. She is a foodie and loves to cook. She has a passion for travel and is working her way around the globe.
Giving back to the community is an important part of her life. She has become involved in several charities including Honor Flight. This organization is special to her as her father and husband are military veterans. She has spent time in Belize and Guatemala on medical mission trips as well.
She and her spouse love being outdoors. When they are not boating on Lake Norman they are hiking in the mountains.
Her personal preferences include books over TV and listening to old jazz. She earned a second Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design from the Art Institute of Dallas. Her love of art often takes her into museums or to old architecture on her travels.
After High School, Laetitia pursued a degree in Food and Clothing Technology from Cape Peninsula University of Technology in Cape Town, South Africa. After moving to the USA in 2000 with her husband and children, and having to navigate through immigration, she focused her energy on raising her four children.
Laetitia however always had a passion for skincare, spending countless hours researching developments in skincare.
She went back to school and earned her diploma in Esthetics from RCCC School of Cosmetology in 2018. She takes satisfaction in being able to enhance her client’s natural beauty to inspire confidence from within. She takes a personal approach to each client to ensure she can help address their unique skin care goals.
Her passion for knowledge in the dynamic, ever-changing industry ensures that she stays informed with the latest technologies, which she loves to share with her clients. She has earned additional certifications in the ABCD&E’s of Skin Cancer, Superior Safe Peels, Skin Assessments, Plasma Pen Treatments, Mesotherapy & Henna Brows.
Laetitia offers a variety of facial services, microdermabrasion, peels, lash lifts, brow/lash tints, and full body waxing services.
Laetitia and her family proudly became US citizens in 2018. She loves spending time with her husband, 3 sons, and one daughter. She enjoys dancing, spending time with friends, and enjoying life to the fullest.
As the daughter of a military officer, Kristi made the world her “hometown.” Her father served in the United States Marine Corps for 32 years and retired as a Lt. Colonel. Her family settled in her parents’ native Rowan County.
Frequent relocations fueled her current love of travel. She’s visited Japan, Mexico, The Philippines, and almost every state in the United States. In addition, Kristi admits she is obsessed with our country’s National and State Parks, her favorites being Joshua Tree National Park, Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California, and Mesa Verde National Park in Colorado. “I am really into the quirky and unexplained. I have been on countless ghost tours, searched for BigFoot in the Northwest, and hunted UFOs in Nevada and New Mexico,” Kristi says.
Her other personal interests include antiquing, watching documentaries on the History Channel, going to car and truck shows with her husband (a self-described “gear-head”). Kristi also enjoys photography and videography and hopes to soon start her own travel vlog.
Kristi is married to her high school sweetheart, and they will soon celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary. They have one son and one fur baby, Miss Beans. Their family time is spent enjoying activities together like riding jet skis and going to concerts. They are a football-loving family and huge fans of Alabama (Roll Tide Roll) and the Pittsburgh Steelers.
After working in retail management and merchandising for many years, Kristi returned to school in 2010 to earn her Dental Assisting certificate, Certified Nursing Assistant certificate, and Phlebotomy certification at Rowan-Cabarrus Community College. She has experience working in pediatrics, family medicine, and pain management. Kristi is excited to work in cosmetic dermatology with Dr. Naomi Simon and the Eterna Aesthetics team.
Our Cosmetic Coordinator, Brooke, works with our providers, staff and patients to ensure all patients receive the highest quality customer service. Brooke was born and raised in Mooresville, NC. She received her CNA certification in 2015 as well as her Associate’s Degree in Business Administration in 2019. She has spent years working with the public to provide exceptional customer service and care. Needless to say, she is a real people person!
Her background includes providing care for not only others but herself as well. Brooke was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes in 2009, thus sparking her interest in health and wellness. She believes that outer beauty begins within and wishes to help others achieve their goals one step at a time.
Brooke loves spending time with her friends and family. They enjoy vacationing at the beach with their 2 dogs, Ginger and Charli (see below photos).
Simply helping others is what motivates Brooke to strive for the best every day. She is always looking for a solution to anything that comes her way. Her character is like a sponge that soaks up the emotions of others, thus motivating her to instill happiness in those around her.
Born and raised in North Georgia, Jen started a career in retail after high school while working towards a degree in business management. After working her way up to Department Manager within a sporting goods company, she took a position as the Assistant Store Manager at Ulta Cosmetics.
When Jen and her family moved to North Carolina in 2000, she worked part time at the local YMCA while busy as a stay-at-home mom to two wonderful kids!
Jen joined the Eterna Aesthetic team after working for Dr. Naomi Simon and Mooresville Dermatology Center. Her hard working, easy going attitude and willingness to learn makes her a great addition to our Eterna team.
In addition to believing laughter truly is the best medicine, Jen enjoys spending time with her husband of twenty plus years, their two children and two dogs. They enjoy outdoor activities together such as spending time at the beach and in the mountains, skiing/snowboarding, football games, boating on Lake Norman, kayaking on the Toccoa River in north Georgia, camping and even hiking a small portion of the Appalachian Trail.
